Laid back but full of adventure – the perfect combination for these two lovebirds and their romantic NYC elopement.
Their day started getting ready together at the Ritz Carlton, Steven had already been out to take in the buzz of NYC’s rush hour and grab him and his wife-to-be a Starbucks. (you’ve gotta start the day of your wedding right, right!?)
Karen rocked the New York subway in her wedding dress, a tea length dress was the perfect choice for such an action packed day full of walking, cabs and subways.
I can’t tell you how awesome it was to not only be documenting this amazing day for them, but also to be their witness – I’m so grateful you guys, this was a first for me and your day will always hold a special place in my heart!
Pizza at Grand central station, followed by possibly the best cupcake of life from Magnolia Bakery was the perfect unconventional wedding breakfast. And yes we got ‘THE’ Grand Central Station shot (you’ll know it when you see it!)
We chased the sunset all the way to the Top of the Rock and bathed in the golden light – despite it being the busiest day of the year and the hundreds of people up there, these two found their own peace together as the sun set on their wedding day. I still get goosebumps just thinking about how epic this day was. In case you didn’t think their day could get any better, when I left these two that evening, they were about to get changed and head to Broadway to catch a show. If you want to know how to enjoy your wedding day / elopement (and life in general) – please take a leaf out of their book.
Your wedding day is about the two of you having the best damn time of your life – do what you want and do it your own way <3
